As most of you know, we went to South Carolina for Thanksgiving. After going home in October for a wedding, we couldn't afford the time and money involved in going all the way back to Jackson. Fortunately, we were still able to spend the holiday with family. Erika and Matt graciously accepted two more guests (not to mention two crazy dogs) into their already busy house. Stuart's mom and dad were also there to celebrate since they had come out to meet their newest granddaughter. Bonnie cooked an amazing meal with some help from Erika and even Audrey, who helped roll the homemade dough to make dinner rolls! It was wonderful spending time with everyone again and we especially loved being able to spend time with Audrey and the new addition, Claire! Hutch and Izzy had an equally great time due to the fenced-in backyard. Sticks and leaves galore... they were in heaven. Izzy also really enjoyed taking over Audrey's chair. On Friday, Matt took us to the base and showed us around. It was awesome! I knew Matt was cool, but seeing what he does on a daily basis made him even cooler! On Saturday, we went to Swan Lake in Sumter. It was beautiful and we just enjoyed the peacefulness of a relaxing walk! Audrey had a great time feeding the ducks, geese, and swans. She was even brave enough to let one of them eat from her hand! (Not surprising, really. She's pretty much fearless.) Overall, a great holiday and weekend!!!
